Designed for the new student pilot and comprised of selected on-line courses and products that last for the time period in which you need to complete all of the theoretical knowledge exams*. Ideal to enable you to come back to the material time and time again within the period.

By studying on-line with Easy PPL Ground School, you are guaranteed to always have the most up-to-date information available.
For most of the online courses, you can purchase either a Full Course (which includes course material, personal instructor support, tests and exams), or just access to the course Test & Exam Question Bank. The purchase will give you access to the course for one month.
PPL (UK) Requirements
The CAA states that the following criteria must be met:
-
The pass standard for theoretical exams is 75%
-
From attempt of your first written exam, you have 18 months to complete the remaining 8 exams.*
-
You then have 24 months within which you must complete your flight training (including initial skills test).
-
All written exams must be completed prior to undertaking your skills test.
-
If your exams lapse before taking the skills test they will have to be retaken.
All written exams must be sat and administered at an ATO (Approved Training Organisation) such as Cambridge Aero Club.
Radiotelephony Courses
As part of your PPL you will need to gain your radiotelephony licence (FRTOL). The CAA has recently changed the syllabus for and the implementation of the FRTOL practical test. In recognition of this and to enable students to prepare as efficiently as possible, CAC Easy PPL Groundschool has excellent radiotelephony courses available, including the RT Practical examination prep service. Gain a solid foundation in both technique and phraseology.
This is much better and also cheaper than many other AI simulated radio practice courses. Even more so for those for whom English is not their first language or have particularly strong accents, and so may struggle with the computer AI led courses!
The initial online RT Course
This course is specifically for student pilots wishing to prepare for their RT Practical Examination with an RT Examiner. You will be expected to have already completed the navigation aspect of your flight training (and should be ready to undertake or will have already undertaken your qualifying cross-country flight) in order to benefit most from this preparation course.
This particular course prepares you for the RT practical examination, and a good working level of knowledge of RT procedures and processes is required prior to this course.

The course includes a 2 hour 1-2-1 zoom session with a real RT examiner to perfect your RT skills and to provide tips, exam techniques and valuable insight and into the practical exam itself.

Perhaps more than any other area of study, the RT element of your PPL really requires a solid understanding which can only be obtained through practical training paired with a high standard of theory instruction
